WHEN's the Game?

The next Library Games Tournament is coming, folks! BMCC students, staff, faculty, and friends will all be welcome to show off their m4d skyllz and learn some new ones. The big questions for all of you is

When's the best date to get your games on?

Help us decide which weekend to host the event! Click here to read more and let us know what date will work best for you.

So there is definitely another Library Gaming Tournament in our future, but we need to know when. We're looking to have another day of gamey goodness from noon to 5 PM on a Saturday, but which Saturday? The possibilities are:

  • November 13
(National Gaming in Your Library Day,
    the Saturday after Veteran's Day)
  • November 20
  • December 4

So we need to hear from you! Chime in with a comment on which weekend works best for you, or contact the library staff to let us know. We'll make and post up the date decision soon, so make sure we know when you can make it!

What are we planning for this year's tournament? Here's just a sample:

  • Return engagement for your band with a Band Hero high score tournament
  • Old school gaming with Atari 2600 and Nintendo 64 titles
  • Open screens! Bring your consoles and games to share!

. . . and a lot more! Put it on your calendars, everyone; we're going GAME ON again!

Right now we're leaning toward November 20th for the tournament date, but we're not yet committed. How does everyone else feel?
