We Got Games

Saturday was awesome! Thanks to everybody who swung in and got your games on!

Check out the blog for some of the best and brightest pics, and the tournament results!

(At left, rockers jam over a Rock Band track.)

In the tournaments, our champions were:

Super Smash Bros. Brawl
Eric Bodo

Rock Band
4-member band Purple

Congratulations to everyone who participated! Great sounds, incredible fights, and excellent sportsmanship (bandsmanship?) from all!

Here's a few more pics:

These gamers are all about Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 on PS3.

Super Smash Brothers: Brawl brought together the most skilled players for massive KO fests!

Many other titles popped up for quick showdowns on consoles like our XBox. Here's a game of Star Wars: Battlefront.

More Rock Band goodness! This one ran all day, and really kept the air alive with good vibes -- everything from Metallica and Rush to Fallout Boy and Jet.

See that controller? Yes, that is old school Atari 2600, and we had it there along with classic Nintendo 64. Payin' homage and remembering our roots, yo.

Thanks again to everybody that joined in! This was our best tournament yet, and we're already getting together ideas for the next one. Got some ideas you want to share? Post up a comment! Great ideas from our first tournament made this one even better, so keep 'em comin'! GAME ON!

Thanks again for putting it together, I had a great time. I wish I had gotten up the courage to sing for "Rock Band" but maybe next time. See you next time!!

ejensen:

Thanks for being one of our faithful! ( . . . and apologies for taking so long to reply.) There will be a next time -- stay tuned here for info on when!

Thanks a lot Erik. I was thinking about the film group again and I thought about asking Anne Morter if we could hold meetings in her building in Boardman, that would be a lot better for me anyway...
