Adjustment of Award Level to enrollment level:

The Financial Assistance staff and the Business Office will check that students' award levels match their enrollment level:

  • Prior to issuing a Bookstore Voucher to a student, the Service Center staff will confirm that the student's enrollment level and award level match. If NOT, the student's award will be adjusted to match the current enrollment level before a book voucher is issued.
  •  The morning following the "Last day for full refund" per BMCCs Academic Calendar  and prior to the disbursement of credit balance checks.  Adjustments will be made prior to the issuing of credit balance checks so that students' award levels match their enrollment level as of the end of the drop period.  The students' enrollment level for the term will be what it is as of the last day to drop classes, with no changes made after that day regardless of classes added late.  If a student that has been awarded is NOT enrolled, their aid will be cancelled for that term and ALL subsequent terms.  If a student enrolls for a subsequent term they MUST email us at finadi@bluecc.edu to notify us of their enrollment to have their financial aid reinstated for that term.

YOUR AWARD LEVEL CANNOT BE INCREASED AFTER THE LAST DAY FOR FULL REFUND.

Federal Financial Aid Disbursement Schedule

If a student is receiving financial aid in the form of scholarships, federal or state grants, or agency funding, their aid will be posted and applied (disbursed) to their student account as of 8am approximately one week prior to the start of classes for that term.  After all funds are applied to the students account, any balance remaining will be mailed to students on the dates listed on the schedule below.  Refund checks will are not available for pick up.
