Celebrate Summer: Celebrate Pollinators!

·         The week of June 17 - 23 was designated by Congress to help address the urgent issue of declining pollinator populations.  It has grown to be an international celebration of the valuable ecosystem services provided by bees, butterflies, bats and beetles.

·         If you are on campus, come by and browse the library's pollinator display, including a pollinator friendly plant guide, and suggestions for pollinator friendly meals.  Also check our databases for more research options.

·         From the US Forest Service we can find the answers to: what is pollination, and why is it important?

·        From the US Fish and Wildlife Service, are ways you can help pollinators remain a vital force.

·       From the Pollinator Partnership website, find pollinator friendly planting guides by region.

·       From the Nova website, discover Pick the Pollinator, a game matching plants and their pollinators.
