SCHOLARSHIPS - Local and National

The BMCC Foundation and Financial Aid office attempt to post all local and national scholarship opportunities. Every effort is made to keep this list up to date. However, specific details and deadlines should be verified when filling out an application.

Most scholarship applications are due November through May for funding fall term. Mid-year scholarships are sometimes made available. Please check back often for updated information. Most scholarships require you to submit an essay. Click here for Essay Help.

LOCAL SCHOLARSHIPS - AMOUNT - APPLICATION DEADLINE

American Lung Association in Oregon - Saidie Orr Dunbar Nursing Education Fund - must be accepted into a Nursing program w/ min 3.0 GPA - $1,000 - $3,000 - 06/01/2020

Altrusa International Foundation of Hermiston - Linda Gilleese Memorial Scholarship - residents of western Umatilla County or north Morrow County - up to $3,500 - 10/01 (for winter/spring terms)

Children of Fallen Heroes Scholarship - please read the attached PDF and contact the Financial Aid office at FinancialAid@bluecc.edu to apply

Financial Emergency Scholarship - These funds are intended to assist students in emergency situations.  If you are experiencing unforeseen adverse financial circumstances beyond your control, please complete the Financial Emergency Scholarship form by following the link.

American Indian Science & Engineering Society-Columbia River Professional Chapter (AOSES-CRPC) STEM Scholarship - American Indian students in ID, OR, and WA - $2,500 - 06/01

George Sink Injury Lawyers Veterans & Military Family Scholarship - veteran, active duty/retired service member, or spouse/child of active duty/retired service  member - $1,000 - 06/15 

AmericanMuscle Automotive Scholarship - automotive - $2,000 - 06/15 for Fall

D. Miller & Associates Community Superhero Scholarship - $1,500 - 06/15

Extreme Terrain Student Scholarship - Biology or related degree in Environmental Studies - $3,000 - 06/15 for Fall

Education.com Scholarship - for aspiring educators/teachers - high school seniors - $5,000 - 06/30

The Summit Shah MD Scholarship - $1,000 - 07/01

Horatio Alger State Scholarship - high school seniors - $10,000 - open annually from 08/01 to 10/25

Horatio Alger Career & Technical Scholarship Program - up to $2,500 - open until all scholarships are awarded

AmericanMuscle Automotive Scholarship - automotive - $2,000 - 10/15 for Spring

Extreme Terrain Student Scholarship - Biology or related degree in Environmental Studies - $3,000 - 10/15 for Spring

ACLS Scholarship for Healthcare Providers - students enrolled in healthcare degree - $1,000 - 11/01

Sachs Marketing Group - General Marketing Education Scholarship - $1,000 - annually on 12/15

The HOTH SEO Scholarship Program - $1,000 - 12/31 

Varsity Tutors Scholarship - $1,000 - new scholarship each month

University Tutor Scholarship - $1,000 - new scholarship each month

Scholarships for Women - list of multiple scholarships available including for Minority Women, Women in STEM, Women in Business, Finance or Accounting, Women in Teaching or Education, Women in Nursing, Medicine, and Health
