Disbursement of funds (Stipends/Refunds)

Generally, student aid (grants, scholarships, loans) will be posted to student accounts the first day of classes. Tuition and fees will be deducted and any balance remaining will be wired to BankMobile on the initial stipend date for the term.

BMCC has partnered with BankMobile to deliver students' financial stipend/refund. When it comes to deciding how to get your money, you deserve choices. 

Your choices include:

DEPOSIT TO AN EXISTING ACCOUNT – Money is transferred to your existing checking or savings account the same business day BankMobile receives funds from BMCC. Typically, it takes 1 – 2 business days for the receiving bank to credit the money to your account.

 

DEPOSIT TO A BANKMOBILE VIBE CHECKING ACCOUNT – If you open a BankMobile Vibe checking account (upon identity verification), money is deposited the same business day BankMobile receives funds from BMCC.

 

There is also a  paper check option.

STIPEND (REFUND) DATES

Initial stipends for Summer 2020 and Fall 2020 terms- will be processed the last business day before the start of the term (for any student who have been awarded financial aid and have a credit balance)

Initial stipends from winter 2021 term on- will be processed the next business day after the Full Refund Deadline.

Any subsequent stipends are processed every Wednesday throughout the term, provided that BMCC is open.
