Pharmacy Technician - Admission Requirements
HIGH SCHOOL DIPLOMA OR GED
Students must submit an official copy of their high school diploma or a GED to Central Oregon Community College (COCC) as part of their application process.
PREREQUISITES * (may vary between partner schools)
Complete WR115 or placement test into WR121
Complete MTH025 or Placement into MTH070
Pass BMCC's Computer literacy placement assessment with an average score of 85% or higher or complete CS120.
Students must provide verification that the prerequisite courses or competencies have been completed. All courses must be passed with a grade of “C” or better. Students enrolled in these courses during the fall term, must also achieve a final grade of “C” or better in order to begin the program. All prerequisite coursework must be completed by the end of fall term 2011.
OTHER ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
- Current AHA CPR/AED Certification for Healthcare Providers
- Proof of Immunizations (Hepatitis B, MMR, Varicella,Tdap)
- Tuberculin Skin Test (PPD) negative results or chest x-ray if positive
Applicants may transfer credits to fulfill prerequisite courses. It is the applicant’s responsibility to assure that transcripts are submitted to the Admissions and Records Office at Central Oregon Community College several weeks prior to the winter term registration. Unofficial transcripts must also be submitted to the Pharmacy Technician Program Director as part of your prerequisite verification packet.
