Thank you for your interest in the Nursing program at Blue Mountain Community College. The nursing program is both exciting and challenging; offering graduates opportunities for employment in a variety of settings and for a lifelong career that is personally fulfilling. Success in the program requires a strong commitment and may pose unique personal as well as academic challenges. Nursing is a demanding field and admission to any nursing school is a very competitive process. We strongly encourage you to prepare well by meeting with our pre-nursing advisor to help you with your educational plan, reading through the application materials thoroughly, and talking with nurses in various healthcare settings to get an idea of what a nursing career might entail.

2014-16 Nursing Point Distribution  - updated on October 26, 2013.  

To earn additional discretionary points for admission purposes, applicants must take the Kaplan Nursing Admission Test.  To request a testing date, time, and location applicants must complete the Kaplan Nursing Admission Test Request form below and return it to BMCC's Advising and Testing Center at least two (2) business days prior to their requested testing date.   For questions about this process please contact our Advising and Testing Center at 541.278.5931.

2014 Admission Information, Process and Deadlines

Application Fee:  $50  this is a non-refundable fee

Application Period:  Thursday, January 2, 2014 through 5 p.m. on Monday, February 17, 2014.  

Point Letters to Applicants:  Monday, March 17, 2014

Invitation to Step Two: Friday, April 4, 2014 (updated on March 17, 2014)

Step Two Interviews: Friday, April 18th on Pendleton campus (updated on March 17, 2014)

Admit Notices to Applicants: Monday, April 21, 2014 (updated on March 17, 2014)

Acceptance and $100 Non-Refundable Deposits Due:  Monday, July 7, 2014
         

2014 Nursing Application Packet 

Steps to Apply:

Complete and return the following:

  1. BMCC's 2014 Nursing Admission Application
  2. Non-refundable application fee of $50  (Note:  applicants do not have to pay the general admission fee for this program - the only application fee to be paid is $50)
  3. BMCC's 2014-16 A.A.S. Nursing Statement of Understanding and Compliance

Transfer Students Only:  Please be sure to have all official grade transcripts from regionally accredited schools attended during or after fall 2009 sent to BMCC as soon as possible.  In addition, you will need to complete and return BMCC's Transcript Evaluation Request form so that we may evaluate your other college transcripts as early as possible prior to our application deadline.

 

2013 TRANSFER READMIT POLICY

To apply for transfer or readmission to our program you will need to complete the following forms:

  1. Transfer Readmit Enclosure List
  2. Application for Admission - Limited Entry Program
  3. 2013-15 Nursing Statement of Understanding and Compliance

Deadlines to submit application for 2013-2015 are as follows:

  • Fall 2013:  February 15, 2013
  • Winter and Spring 2014:  November 5, 2013
  • Fall 2014:  February 17, 2014
  • Winter and Spring 2015:  November 5, 2014
