Academic advising is available for every student at BMCC to help you effectively plan to meet your educational goals, but it is mandatory for degree seeking students. Advisors are available to meet with students in person in Pendleton, Hermiston, Milton-Freewater, and Baker City. Advising can also be done by phone or other means, particularly for those students who take classes through distance education or attend at any of our outlying centers.
Students attending classes at any BMCC location who need an advisor, or who wish to change advisors, should contact the Advising and Testing Center in Pendleton at (541) 278-5931 or email@example.com. Once assigned, students may contact their advisor directly to make an appointment. You will receive your advisors contact information upon assignment. Students who are new to BMCC will be assigned an advisor upon completion of the online admission and the placement tests. If a student is transferring from another college, they need to complete the online admission, have their official transcripts sent to BMCC and complete a Transcript Evaluation Request form. (Detail about the admissions process is available here.) Once these steps have been completed, the student should contact the Advising & Testing Center at 541.278.5931 to have an advisor assigned.
Students planning to transfer to a four-year college or university can find catalogs, applications, scholarship information, and other helpful information from all Oregon University System schools and other colleges in the Pacific Northwest region by contacting the Advising & Testing Center. Advisors can assist you in using this information to better plan your education.
