Assistant Coach AbreuCoach Jeanette Abreu

Coach Jeanette Abreu is in her second season as Head Coach of the Blue Mountain Community College (BMCC) Timberwolves. Previously, Coach Abreu was BMCC Assistant Coach.  She is a former NCAA Division II Great Northwest Athletic Conference softball player at Saint Martin's University (SMU) in Lacey, Washington.  At SMU Coach Abreu earned double Bachelor of Arts degrees in Psychology and Criminal Justice.  In 2011, Coach Abreu earned her Master's in Sports Administration and Leadership from Seattle University, in Seattle, Washington.

For the past thirteen years, Coach Abreu has lived in Oregon, Washington, and California pursuing educational and professional opportunities. For six years, she worked for SMU Athletics Department in all aspect of sports management. Following her time at SMU, she worked five years for the State of Washington, Department of Social and Health Services, Division of Child Support and Division of Behavioral Health and Recovery. For a year and a half, Coach Abreu devoted her time as a Wounded Warrior Wife and taking care of the military needs of her family. Currently, Coach Abreu is a C.A.S.E. Career Coach at BMCC.
Coach Abreu is a Pendleton native and has really enjoyed coming back home with her husband John, a Naval Combat Veteran, and their two dogs Mya and Sedona.
