Animal Science Instructor

Full-time, Faculty Position - Pendleton Campus. Priority Screening: May 3rd.
Salary: Commensurate with qualifications, based on Faculty Salary Scale.
Position Duties: As a member of the Agriculture Department, this position will organize and assist in the various department functions. Responsible to create a culturally diverse learning environment that employs best teaching and learning practices through various delivery modes in order to meet current and future educational needs of the communities served by the College. Must be able to facilitate the success of individuals representing a broad range of academic, socioeconomic, cultural and ethnic background. Organize, maintain and operate the animal science facilities and equipment including fences, feed equipment, scales, feed trials, waterers and other items related to animal science. Work with tillage, planting and harvesting equipment. Instruct primarily in Animal Sciences including skills in equine science, with a possible added class in agriculture business and/or agriculture mechanics. Provide instruction in the 4 new VT (Vet assistant) courses. Actively participate within a team concept and as a member of various college committees and conform to the guiding principles of our College culture.
