Job Title: Switchboard Operator/Service Center

Job Description/Duties:
Answer incoming phone calls received on the college’s main phone line. Transfer calls to appropriate staff or faculty member or department. Share basic information about resources, events, general admissions and registration with callers as requested by caller. Take detailed messages as needed and deliver to final call recipient. The position also includes some light office duties including but not limited to data entry, mail preparation and filing.

Special Skills:
Excellent customer service and phone skills are required. Employee must also possess strong ability in locating information. Must be skilled in the use of MS/Office and MS/Excel. Must be willing to learn new computer programs and phone systems. Must have strong attention to detail, be an independent worker and utilize strong grammatical, organizational and communication skills.
