Awards are given for Best of Show, 1st-3rd place, and Honorable Mention by this year’s judge, Whitney Minthorn. Minthorn is a multi-media artist, working in printmaking, beadwork and photography. He has worked and exhibited internationally, and was a featured artist during the Portland2016 Biennial. Minthorn studied painting at the Institute of American Indian Arts in Santa Fe, New Mexico, as well as fashion and textiles at Cambridge Regional College in England, and holds a certificate in photography and digital manipulation from Oregon College of Art and Craft.
In addition to the Judge’s Awards, the public can submit a vote for the Heather Gastin Memorial People’s Choice Award. The winner will be announced on May 28.
