BMCC Board seeks to fill member vacancy in Pendleton
The Blue Mountain Community College Board of Education is seeking to fill a vacant position for Zone 7 in Pendleton, following the resignation of Board Member Susan Plass at Wednesday (March 7) night’s regular Board meeting. Plass is moving out of the area, and as such had to vacate her seat on the Board, which she’s held since July 2015.
Zone 7 includes north Pendleton and north-central Umatilla County, which includes precincts 106, 108, 109, 111, 115, 116, 138 and 139.
Interested citizens from the Zone 7 area may apply for the position by submitting a letter of interest to the Board of Education by Friday, April 6, 2018. The Board is expected to screen and appoint an applicant at its May 2 meeting in Pendleton. The applicant selected by the Board will serve in the position through June 30, 2019, when the term expires.
