Blue Mountain Community College’s Eastern Oregon Higher Education Center project hits a milestone today with a ground-breaking ceremony at 4:30 p.m. at BMCC Hermiston, 980 SE Columbia Drive. The two-story building will be approximately 30,000 square feet, with 14 general classrooms, a computer lab, two science labs, administrative offices, a full-service testing center, and student study areas. The Center will increase access to postsecondary education for the residents of communities throughout west Umatilla and north Morrow counties. BMCC and Eastern Oregon University will begin offering classes in the new building in fall term, 2011.
