Blue Mountain Community College hosted 76 area high school students for Career Pathways Day on April 29. The goal was to explore three major career areas: civil, mechanical and chemical engineering, diesel technology, apprenticeship and the trades.

The conference keynote speaker was Allen Waggoner, CEO/President of Pendleton Grain Growers. In each subject area, students listened to guest speakers, participated in skills contests, and received certificates of participation for their Career Exploration Portfolios, an Oregon Pathways requirement for high school graduation.

The following students received top awards; first place winners also received a BMCC tuition scholarship:
