McCrae Athletic Award

Blue Mountain Community College Timberwolves recently awarded the Wallace McCrae Student Athletes of the Year awards to McKenzie Cheney and Dustin Norman.  The Wallace McCrae award is given to one male and one female sophomore athlete who have demonstrated not only excellence in their chosen sport, but also in the classroom.  Wallace McCrae was the first president of Blue Mountain Community College.

McKenzie Cheney played second base for the BMCC softball team.  Ms. Cheney is from Eugene and plans to attend Oregon State University or Portland State next year.   She is working toward a medical degree.

Dustin Norman played outfield for the BMCC baseball team.  Mr. Norman is from Kuna, Idaho.  Mr. Norman is also interested in the medical field and is considering attending Bluefield State College in Virginia where he will continue his baseball career.
