Students who meet any of the following criteria must successfully complete the TwI workshop before or during their first quarter at BMCC:
- Degree or certificate seeking
- Transferring less than 30 credits from a previous college
- No previous BMCC credits (this DOES NOT include dual credits)

Students will attend a six hour-introduction workshop. Within these six hours, students will attend a seminar, sample class, module, education planning session and campus tour. For face-to-face sessions, lunch is included.
During TwI, students will meet first within seminar groups. Seminars are similar to homerooms. Role will be taken, and students will discuss college expectations, terminology, study skills, campus resources, characteristics of successful students, academic honesty and how to develop an educational plan.
TwI is offered every quarter. Please refer to the quarterly course schedule for specific dates and times. Note: To find the current TwI workshops, type “tim” in the Course Title field. Students should be prepared to complete their TwI requirement before or during their first quarter at BMCC.
Students should sign up for a workshop when they register for their first quarter of classes. The workshop times and line numbers will appear in the quarterly class schedule for specific dates and times. Note: To find the current TwI workshops, type “tim” in the Course Title field. Students with thirty or more transfer credits desiring to forgo TwI should complete and submit a Transcript Evaluation Request as soon as possible after they are enrolled at BMCC.
Is TwI offered at the branch centers?

BMCC believes it is important to assist students in their transition to college. TwI was created to improve student retention and reduce the number of students on academic probation.
Although Online TwI was specifically designed for students who cannot attend face-to-face, any student can enroll for Online TwI.
How do I begin the online course?
Shortly after students register for online TwI (usually within one-two business days), they will be sent an email with instructions for login. A $10 fee will be added to your student account when you enroll for the course.
I am not a new student; can I enroll in TwI?
Yes, any BMCC student can enroll and participate in Timberwolves Introduction.
What if I do not complete TwI?
Students who do not successfully complete TwI will not be allowed to register for classes the following quarter. Students who have an emergency and cannot complete the course, please contact your advisor or the Student Success Specialist, at 541-278-5934 or Beth.Smith@bluecc.edu
