Schedule for Enrollment Verification & Adjustment of Award Level

The Financial Assistance staff and the Business Office will be verifying that students' award levels match their enrollment level before applying aid to student accounts and issuing balance refund checks.

YOUR AWARD LEVEL CANNOT BE INCREASED AFTER THE ADD/DROP DEADLINE EVEN IF  YOU ARE APPROVED FOR A LATE ADD.

1st verification: Prior to issuing a Bookstore Voucher to a student, the Service Center staff will confirm that the student's enrollment level and award level match. If NOT, the student's award will be adjusted to match the current enrollment level before a book voucher is issued.

2nd verification: The morning following the last day to add/drop classes (5th day of classes) and prior to the disbursement of credit balance checks, the Financial Assistance staff will verify that students' enrollment levels match their award levels.  Adjustments will be made prior to the issuing of credit balance checks so that students' award levels match their enrollment level as of the end of the add/drop period.  The students' enrollment level for the term will be what it is as of the last day to add/drop classes, with no changes made after that day regardless of classes added late.  If a student that has been, or is ready to be awarded, is NOT enrolled, their aid will be cancelled for that term and ALL subsequent terms.  If a student enrolls for a subsequent term they MUST contact the Service Center to notify us of their enrollment and wish to have their financial aid reinstated for that term. Students awarded after the add/drop deadline will be awarded at the level of enrollment they are at the time of awarding.

2011/2012 Federal Financial Aid Disbursement Schedule

If a student is receiving financial aid in the form of scholarships, federal or state grants, or agency funding, their aid will be posted and applied (disbursed) to their student account as of 8am the Monday prior to the start of classes for that term.  After all funds are applied to the students account, any balance remaining will be sent to students on the dates listed on the schedule below.  The first credit balance checks of each term will be available for pick up by the student at the Service Center between 10 am and 1 pm and will be mailed promptly at 1 pm that same day, except for Summer term when no pick up will be available.  All Summer term credit balance cheks will be mailed.  Credit balance checks will be mailed each subsequent Wednesday of the term and will not be available for pick up by the student.
