Federal Direct Loans
The 2014-2015 Loan Application Process is now available. (Due to delays in federal programming, summer loans may not be available for disbursement until after July 1, 2014.)
Attention: Important information for First-Time Borrowers on or after July 1, 2013.
Welcome to BMCC’s student loan application process for the 2014/15 school year (Summer 2014 through Spring 2015).
As of July 1, 2010, all federal Stafford student loans are through the U.S. Department of Education’s (ED) Federal Direct Loan (FDL) program. This means that if you borrow money toward educational expenses, you will make repayment to a federal government servicer instead of a private lender. For FDL information, visit their website.
Who is Eligible to Apply for a FDL?
Once you have been issued an Award Letter or an Eligibility Notification from BMCC, you may complete the FDL application process. At least half-time (6+ credits) aid-eligible enrollment is required. Check your financial aid status at your BMCC Student Wolfweb account. Per-term loan application deadlines are as follows:

|Summer 2014||Monday, Aug. 18, 2014|
|Fall 2014||Monday, Dec. 01, 2014|
|Winter 2015||Monday, March 09, 2015|
|Spring 2015||Monday, June 01, 2015|
