This program is designed to allow students to take their pre-requisite coursework at Blue Mountain Community College (BMCC). The radiology technologist courses will be taken via distance education through Linn-Benton Community College (LBCC) while staying in Eastern Oregon. Students who live in the BMCC service district (Umatilla, Morrow and Baker counties) as well as centers-out-of-district (COD) service district (Grant and Wallowa counties) may apply for the Diagnostic Imaging program through BMCC.
The purpose of the program is to prepare students to practice as proficient, multi-skilled professionals in culturally diverse health care settings, to demonstrate outcomes required by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) and program guideline and to prepare students for application and completion of ARRT certification examinations.Upon completion of program and the general education requirements students will be eligible to apply for an Associate of Applied Science degree from Linn-Benton Community College. Program Format:
Students attend class for approximately 40 hours a week. The majority of the classes will be taught via web-based technology from LBCC. Students should expect to attend class from their homes; although lab experiences will take place at the local healthcare facilities and/or Lebanan lab. Students should expect to make a minimum of seven (7 ) trips to the LBCC campus during the course of the program. Once enrolled in this program, students are LBCC students and supported by LBCC.

Note: Students advised prior to LBCC changing the course requirements for this program may be able to count additional courses towards meeting the cultural literacy requirement for admission purposes only. 2012 Application and Checklist
All applicants must complete Linn-Benton Community College's (LBCC )Online Admission process first BEFORE completing and returning their application packet to BMCC. To complete LBCC's online admission follow the steps listed below.
New Students: Students who have never attended or applied to LBCC must begin at step 1.
1. Go to the web page http://webrunner.linnbenton.edu/admit_home.htm
2. Create an Admission Application by clicking the “I Want to Earn a Degree or Certificate” button
3. Create a Login ID:
4. Create and verify a PIN:
5. Click “Login”
6. Select “Diagnostic Imaging” from the Application Type drop down options
7. Click “Continue”
8. Select “Summer 2012” from the Admission Term drop down options
9. Enter at least your first and last name into the appropriate boxes1
10. Complete all the online application checklist items before submitting to include: Name, Permanent Address, Mailing Address if different, Personal Information (must enter an accurate DOB and SSN), High School, Previous College, if applicable, Written Experiential Assessment (must answer all 6 questions completely)
11. Once all checklist items are completed, submit your application by pressing “Application is complete”4

2012 Information and Deadlines:
Pre-Application Information Session: This session is required of all applicants. This is an on-line process only and is available now at http://www.linnbenton.edu/go/di/info-session All applicants MUST thoroughly read, complete the quizzes and submit the printed completion certificate with their application packet.
- Application Dates: We will begin accepting applications on Wednesday, January 4, 2012 and will accept them through 5 p.m. on Friday, January 27, 2012. Application packets must be received by BMCC's Admission Office in Pendleton (see address below) on or prior to 5 pm on January 27, 2012. (Late applications will not be considered.) -NOTE: this deadline date has been updated due to the severe weather conditions during the month of January.
- Program Dates: June 18, 2012 through March 20, 2014. You will be taking courses each term (summer, fall, winter, spring) throughout this period of time.
- Admisson Decision: Week of March 19, 2012
- Non-Refundable Deposit for admitted students: $2,000 due by May 4, 2012
- Orientation Date: May 22, 2012 at LBCC's Lebanon Campus
