Lea Mathieu - Zone 1

Lea Mathieu is a minister, teacher, and writer who lives near Ione on a wheat farm with her husband and three children. She holds masters degrees in both education and theology, and is nationally certified in language arts. She first served BMCC as a budget committee member about 15 years ago.
Werner Buehler - Zone 2

Werner Buehler is General Manager of Oregon Trail Electric, the largest electric cooperative in Oregon, which is headquartered in Baker City. He has been in his current position since 2007.
A native of Roseburg, Oregon, Werner received his BS degree from the University of Oregon, School of Journalism. He has worked in the electric utility industry since 1971, serving in various executive management roles throughout the West Coast. He also was a principal partner in a Portland-based consulting firm specializing in power marketing and utility deregulation.
Werner and his wife Nancy live in Baker City, Oregon. They have two sons; one a recent graduate of the University of Oregon and another recently graduated from Baker High School in Baker City, Oregon.
Ed Taber- Zone 3

Ed Taber lives just south of Pendleton where he and his wife have lived for over 30 years. Ed works as a polygraph examiner since retiring after a 30 year career in law enforcement. Ed retired as the Pendleton Police Chief in 1999. Ed and both of his children received Associate Degrees from BMCC. Ed's association with BMCC began as a student in 1967 and has continued over the years.
Kim Puzey - Zone 4

Kim B. Puzey lives in Hermiston, Oregon and is General Manager of the Port of Umatilla. He has degrees in Humanities, Religion, and Organizational Behavior. He is a former teaching assistant, instructor, or faculty member of Clovis (New Mexico) Community College, Chapman University, Eastern New Mexico University, and Brigham Young University.He is a director or officer of several educational and professional boards, commissions or associations.He is married to the former Julie Ann Romney. They have six children. Kim is serving as board liasion to the BMCC Foundation for 2004-2005.
Doug Voyles - Zone 5

Doug Voyles is a 30 year resident of Umatilla county, maintaining two part-time residences in Zone 5, one in Pendleton and one in Hermiston. Doug works as a respiratory therapist at Good Shepherd Hospital in Hermiston where he has covered the week-end night shifts for the last 8 years. Working three-twelve hour days on the week-ends allows Doug to spend time during the week with his partner running a busy gas station C-store in Hermiston.
Doug was involved in medical equipment sales for six years, working for a large distributor in the Northwest. Doug has also co-owned a retail business in Pendleton that specialized in herbs and supplements and served the community for 5 years. In the late 70's, 80's, and early 90's Doug worked for St. Anthony Hospital in Pendleton as a respiratory therapist.
Doug has three sons in his life, one adult, one teen-ager, and one third grader. Doug is active in the recovery community in Hermiston and Milton-Freewater.
Doug has been a Board member since 2005.
Dr. Anthony (Tony) Turner - Zone 6

Tony and his wife Joyce moved to Milton-Freewater in 1978 and began to raise their family of three children. As an educator, Tony has worked in both the Milton-Freewater and Pendleton school systems serving as a teacher in grades 4 and 5 (mostly.) Tony has worked in different leadership roles within his church, and as a resident of Milton-Freewater, was a member of the city planning commission. After a recent move to the country around M-F, the Turner family enjoys working on their small acreage.
Bryan Branstetter - Zone 7

Bryan Branstetter is a life-long resident of Pendleton & Umatilla County. He currently works as a Correctional Officer at E.O.C.I. and has been there since 1989. He is married and has children. Mr. Branstetter was educated here in our public schools including Blue Mt. Community College.
