Notice is hereby given that Blue Mountain Community College, Oregon is requesting Requests for Qualifications by completing and submitting a “Prime Contractor Prequalification Application” from qualified companies or individuals to provide construction services for a capital construction project in Hermiston, Oregon. The Request for Qualification (RFQ) document, or “Prime Contractor Prequalification Application” may be obtained either by clicking this 'Application Request' link, or by contacting Staci Kunz at (541) 278-5154 between the hours of 8:00 am and 4:00 pm, Monday through Friday. Questions pertaining to the submission process can be directed to Topher McClellan via email at tmcclellan@bluecc.edu. Respondents to this Request for Qualifications, or “Prime Contractor Prequalification Application” will be required to attend a mandatory orientation meeting at 9:00 am, PST, May 26, 2010 at the below location prior to submitting this RFQ. NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING Pursuant to Oregon Revised Statute 279C.335(5), this Public Notice is for the purpose of taking comments on Blue Mountain Community College’s draft findings for the approval of an exemption from competitive bidding for a public improvement utilizing a two-step, qualifications-based, enhanced selection process (i.e., alternative contracting method). The College’s findings supporting the use of an exemption from competitive bidding for a public improvement are on file and available for review at the Pendleton campus, Operations Office M-152, Morrow Hall, 2411 NW Carden Ave, Pendleton, Oregon.> A recommendation for approval of the College’s findings for an exemption from competitive bidding for a public improvement, utilizing a two-step, qualifications-based, enhanced selection process shall be submitted to Blue Mountain Community College’s Board of Education, acting as the College’s Local Contract Review Board, at its next regularly scheduled meeting on Wednesday, May 5, 2010 @ 6:30 PM, PST. If approved by the College’s Local Contract Review Board, the exemption from competitive bidding for a public improvement will permit the College to utilize an alternative contracting method for the procurement of a General Contractor to construct the Hermiston Higher Education Center.
