Art Hill Elected Vice-chair of OTCC
Onno Husing elected Chair of the Oregon Telecommunications Coordinating Council
Salem, OR (February 18, 2009) – Onno Husing, Director of the Oregon Coastal Zone Management Association, has been elected Chair, and Art Hill, Vice President Customized Training and Director of Small Business Development Centers at Blue Mountain Community College has been elected Vice-Chair of the Oregon Telecommunications Coordinating Council.
John Irwin of Central Point served as Chair of the Council from 2001 through 2008. The Council thanks John for his years of public service to Oregon and leadership in advancing broadband telecommunications.
About ORTCC:
The mission of the Oregon Telecommunications Coordinating Council is to provide all Oregonians with affordable access to broadband digital applications that will improve the quality of life in Oregon communities and reduce the economic gap between well-served and underserved Oregon communities. The Council has actively promoted the deployment and utilization of broadband telecommunications and has made significant contributions to the development of Oregon's public policy.
Council members are appointed by the Governor and represent public and private entities with an interest in improving telecommunications services across Oregon.
